Dynamic Websites & Dynamic Content
Classic Websites are written in HTML or XHTML which provides called static content, meaning that when a user requests a web page online they simply views the page as is and the information on that page. There is no interaction required between the user and the web content . This is the simplest form of website design.
Total Dynamic Websites
Dynamic websites can be totally dynamic like CMS websites - with login admin capability online to upload content live and also eCommerce websites that have a login admin area to upload and change products live. These websites are usually template based and hosted on the server. Typically, you pay for the use of the ' CMS ' service with yearly fees. Once you stop paying the fees, the dynamic website will no longer exist and you loose all content uploaded.
Partial Dynamic Websites
Dynamic websites also can be static in overall design BUT have individual dynamic elements embedded onto the page which the end user interacts with.

An example of this can be seen by the use of Flash Thumbnail Gallery whereby instead of having a static image on a page...the user is able to roll over a thumbnail gallery ( pre- programmed ) and effect an action for a larger image of the thumbnail to appear on the page.
