What do you need to own a website ?

2. A Domain Name
your website URL or web address: eg yourbusinessname.com.au
Fees: paid with 2 yearly domain registration fees
If you are a business in Australia with a active ABN or ACN, you are eligible to register a domain name with a .com.au TLD extension. We suggest that you register your domain name in the name of your business.
eg yourbusinessname.com.au
If not, you can still register a global domain called .com.
eg yourbusinessname.com
3. Website Hosting
This is where your website is uploaded to secure fast servers and pointed to your your domain name including a SSL certificate to pass Google’s security requirements.
